C.S. Osborne No. 600 Staple Puller Pliers

When to choose it
The No. 600 gives you jaws you can close on a staple after the crown starts to rise. Its bent nose reaches under the staple, so it is useful beside a lifter when removing an old cover from a seat rail. The forged steel body has vinyl-covered handles.
Osborne lists a maximum jaw opening of 7/8 inch and an overall length of 6½ inches. The opening tells you how far the jaws separate. For an obstructed staple, check the actual approach around the rail and compare a slim lifter if you need to start the crown first.

Questions about this product
Should I buy a lifter as well?
A lifter can help where the bridge is flat against the wood. The bent jaws take hold once you can get under or around exposed metal.
Can the nose reach around a corner?
The bend changes the approach, and the clearance still depends on your rail. Compare the tool to the direction from which you can reach the staple.
Is this a side cutter?
The 600 is designed to grip and extract staples. Compare a documented side cutter if trimming the metal is the task.
