Dritz Home 9021 Straight Upholstery Needles, Four Sizes
When to choose it
Choose the 9021 when the thread needs a straight path through padding or down to a spring attachment. The card includes one each of six, eight, ten and twelve inches. Prym points to the two shorter sizes for edge work and spring ties, and the two longer ones for tufting and buttons.
Measure where the needle must exit and leave room to handle it at that point. If you cannot reach the back to secure a button, compare a clasp-deploying tool such as the Osborne 417 with its matching clasp system. For a seam approached from one side, compare the curved Dritz 9020.
